“The location is the whole thing. The house sits on a bluff directly over the water with its own cove below — a short path down to sand you’ll likely have to yourself. You can watch longboarders work the reef out front from the infinity pool, which is somehow the perfect temperature every hour of the day. Whales in the winter, turtles below the deck, and the Marietas sitting out there for sunset. The design deserves its own mention. Balinese lines, carved parota doors that slide entirely into the walls, palapa ceilings — and the layout actually works. Five suites spaced far enough apart that a full house never feels crowded, and living, dining, and kitchen all open straight onto the pool deck so the group naturally ends up together without anyone planning it. But the food and the service are what we talk about after we leave. Viri’s cooking is better than most restaurants in the area, and you’re eating it at the edge of the cliff with the water going gold behind you. Martín and Edi handle everything before you think to ask — provisioning, transfers, reservations, boats — and do it without ever hovering. You do not lift a finger here. Highest recommendation.”
